Bujinkan Dojo Thessaloniki is under the direction of Athanasios Kapnas for 24 years.

Athanasios Kapnas was born in Thessaloniki, Greece. He has been practicing several fighting styles and martial arts. He joined Bujinkan in 1988 under Sensei Ioannis Topalidis, and received his first Dan in 1991 with examiner Sensei Niko Stefanidis. Athanasios Kapnas trains under Sensei Niko Stefanidis since 2005. In 2013 he received the fifth Dan and the Shidoshi license.

In parallel, Athanasios Kapnas has been trained since 1988 under Sensei Ioannis Topalidis and Sensei Manou. He is first Dan in Shotokan Karate and third Dan in Kyokushin Karate.

Athanasios Kapnas is responsible for a network of Bujinkan Dojos in Macedonia, Northern Greece under the name Bujinkan Dojo Thessaloniki.
